JESUS IS THE ANSWER!

Fast forward to 2025. There is a new outbreak of faith among college campuses across America. While the news is filled with antisemitic protests on many college campuses, the greatest news story is unfolding without much fanfare. Recently, in Huntington Beach, California, 7500 people were baptized. This was the largest baptism ever recorded. If you turn off the news for a moment and listen carefully, you can hear a new generation saying…

JESUS IS THE ANSWER!

Revival takes place when hungry hearts turn away from all the external attractions and distractions – and turn to Jesus! There is a generation of young people, much like the young people in the 1960s-1970s, who are disillusioned with the status quo and are looking for reality and the true meaning of life. They are looking past religion and the external accouterments of this life. They are looking for true righteousness, peace, and joy.

THEY ARE LOOKING FOR JESUS!

Paul, writing to the Corinthians, reminds them of the true meaning of life. It is never found in what we do or in what we possess. Jesus proclaimed the same thing.

Luke 12:15:“He then told them, Watch out and be on guard against all greed, because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.”

Paul echoes this when he reminds the Corinthians about the true nature of the Kingdom of God.

“…For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking,  but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Paul was saying – The Kingdom of God is JESUS! Jesus is the essence of our life. He is our righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. When we let go of everything else, turn our gaze to heaven, and place our faith in Christ alone, we experience the fullness of the Kingdom of God. It is, and has always been, about Jesus!

JESUS IS OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS!

2 Corinthians 5:21: “He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” CSB

JESUS IS OUR PEACE!

Ephesians 2:13-15: “But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In his flesh, he made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that he might create in himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.” CSB

JESUS IS OUR JOY!

John 15:11: “I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” CSB

While the world continues to search for the meaning of life, there is only one answer to the question. Jesus was, is, and continues to be the only answer to life. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He became sin so we could be made righteous and be reunited with the Father. He broke down the walls of sin and guilt that separated us from the presence of God so that we could live in His peace. He sent His Holy Spirit to live in our hearts, teach us all things He had commanded, so we could experience true joy.

During the Jesus Revolution of the 1960s-1970s, a wonderful Christian artist, Andrae Crouch, wrote a timeless song that says it all – Jesus is the Answer, For the Word Today!

I Know You Have Some Questions In The Corners Of Your Mind, Traces Of Discouragement And Peace You Cannot Find. Reflections Of Your Past Seem To Face You Every Day, But This One Thing I Do Know Jesus Is The Way.
